After a long day of travelling to Toronto, Ryan O’Reilly and Noel Acciari joined their new team, as the team wanted them to be present for the game. However, with the jet lag, lethargy, or the new team jitters, O’Reilly must have been having one of these as he gave a laughable moment to the fans. The incident was caught by the cameras and was shared on social media by many. Let’s have a look at it.
O’Rielly’s new pregame ritual? The Biosteel bath! Whoops!
— Big Dman Energy (@LifeofaDman) February 19, 2023
As he began to move to the rink, he decided to dampen his hair with some water. But he ended up doing it wrong. What went wrong there? The bottle is what caused the problem here. Instead of picking the water bottle, O’Reilly actually picked a bottle of Biosteel Sports drink. However, he didn’t understand the difference until the red water came flowing through his face.

As soon as he spotted red-colored water, he instantly stopped and looked for the bottle with water. However, this time he checked multiple bottles before directly pouring them onto his head, and only did it once he was assured it was indeed water. Eventually, he got what he wanted and successfully damped his hair with water before entering the rink for Maple Leafs for the first time.
Nevertheless, the beginning doesn’t matter if the end is as good as what Maple Leafs had against the Canadiens. Moreover, the addition of these two players proved to be effective as they played their part really well. The 5–1 victory over them took Maple Leafs to the second position behind the Bruins. Well, as hockey players are said to be quite superstitious, who knows this might become a routine rather than a mistake.
