While the organizers would have thought that the night would boost the already dwindling viewership, last night’s event seemed to have disappointed the fans more. Many fans expressed their frustration across different social media platforms. There was a huge crowd which didn’t like the way All-Star skills night was organized. After seeing the event, a confused fan wrote, “It’s actually impressive how the NHL finds a way to mess up the simplest things. This is brutal to watch.”

The continuous failure of the organization in keeping up with the audience’s expectations pissed off many fans. “Starting to think that the NHL is intentionally trying to one-up itself every year in the ‘ ‘how bad can we make this’ category”, another fan wrote.

However, there were also some fans who were enjoying the night but weren’t happy with the way the NHL handled some contests. “Everything was fine except the breakaway challenge and the accuracy challenge. NHL absolutely destroyed those, “, a fan wrote.

Some fans felt that with the passage of time, the level of skills in current players is not up to the mark. A fan expressed his disappointment in the YouTube video’s comment box, “the NHL All-Star skills just aren’t what they used to be”. There were also some fans who felt that watching the game was just a waste of time. “I would rather watch ESPN talk about Lebron’s Legacy than sit through this again.”, another fan wrote.
