Epic DVD Player Throwback by Gritty the Mascot Leaves NHL Fans Nostalgic

While Philadelphia fans are upset about their team’s latest 1-4 loss against Chicago Blackhawks, their mascot Gitty has won over the NHL fans yet again. In a recent tweet, Gritty is seen entertaining the audience with a unique “DVD” idea that has won the hearts of millions of people, especially from the 90s era. The ice hockey fans on the “bird app” have gone wild after seeing this wholesome video.

On January 20, the Flyers’ faced a crushing loss to Blackhawks, which angered the fans. While many tried to find a way to get over the saddening loss, Flyers’ mascot Gritty, came to everyone’s rescue.

The DVD logo hits the corner

In a video, Gritty physically recreated the old DVD user interface while bouncing it across the screen. In the tweet, they wrote, “only the real ones know”, as the younger generation is not much aware of the iconic DVD screen.

More than the game, fans were interested in the entertainment occurring in the stands. They eagerly waited for the DVD logo to hit the corner of the screen. It was just what the fans wanted, and as soon as the logo perfectly hit the corner, the crowd emerged into a roar.
