The New York Rangers acquired Russian NHL superstar Vladimir Tarasenko from the St. Louis Blues. As if the Rangers’ recent successful seasons weren’t enough, Tarasenko’s goal in his first game for the new team sent the crowd (and the comment section) into a frenzy.
As the New York Rangers dominated the Seattle Kraken in the first period, the game started to seem one-sided. After Vladimir Tarasenko scored the game’s first goal, the rest of the squad was energized and went on to dominate. The Rangers won the game by a score of 6-3, thoroughly crushing the Seattle Kraken.

Fans from all over the NHL world took to the comment section of the YouTube video that had the clip of Tarasenko scoring. The public is pleased that the Rangers have acquired the NHL player, who will probably benefit much from this new opportunity.
One fan, happy for Vladimir Tarasenko, said, “Glad that Vladi is going to thrive and enjoy being in New York.”
Another fan was just surprised by the early goal, as they said, “Not even 3 minutes into the game, he belongs here.”
It looks like not only did Tarasenko get traded, but his fans also changed jerseys. Once of them expressed, “So happy for you Vladi! As a life long Blues fan (that’s now cheering for the rangers) I hope he goes back to vintage Tarasenko.”
A fan was just emotional over the game. “Congrats Vladdi! You will be missed here in St Louis but perhaps a change of scenery is what you need.”
