Noah Lyles vs. Tyreek Hill—who's the real king of speed? Quincy Wilson might have a say!

While Noah Lyles and Tyreek Hill are busy squabbling over who’s faster, 16-year-old Quincy Wilson is letting his legs do the talking. As NFL’s Cheetah Tyreek Hill and the 100-meter Olympic champ Lyles still have their race battle of speed pending, Quincy’s summer is winding down but he’s making every second count before he returns for his junior year at Bullis School. Sporting his Paris Olympic relay gold, this teen sensation is making life tough for NFL stars.

He already left Channing Crowder, the former Miami Dolphins linebacker, eating his dust at Fanatics Fest NYC. Wilson effortlessly outpaced Crowder in a 40-yard dash, finishing in 4.86 seconds while wearing jeans. Wilson barely broke a sweat, even laughing as he crossed the finish line, leaving Crowder looking bewildered and outclassed. Now, Quincy’s turning up the speed and making headlines once again, this time getting the spotlight from the big leagues!

On August 20, the NFL‘s Instagram handle shared two snippets of a school football match featuring the youngest track and field Olympic gold medalist. In the video, the other players scramble to get their hands on the football, but once Quincy Wilson snags it, he blazes down the field toward the touchdown line. Despite several attempts by his teammates and opponents to catch him, no one can match his lightning-fast pace.

The clip ends with Quincy crossing the end zone, leaving his teammates and coaches in stunned admiration. The caption read, “That Olympic track speed on the gridiron 🏃‍♂️💨” But a fan hit the nail on the head in the comments, writing, “Forget the Olympics. Get that NIL money fam!!” Did that fan know about Grant Holloway’s similar choice when he faced a crossroads in his career?

The reigning Olympic champion had the option to turn his career into the NFL fold in 2016. In the same year, he shared a bunch of four-star wideouts with names like A. J. Brown and N’Keal Harry. But his love for track and field sports kept him from landing in the football sport and, with that, diminishing a chance to add the NFL sum to his purse. However, Quincy Wilson has lived almost the same fate.

The 16-year-old athlete’s first love was football. In fact, in between those 40-yard runs on the football field, he realized his regular sprinting character. In one of his conversations with the media outlets, Quincy Wilson revealed, “I also played football. I was usually the fastest on my team. We’d go play different teams in the area and when they would need me on third down I would get the ball. They’d be like, ‘Go get us a touchdown! Go get us a touchdown!’” Furthermore, after his extraordinary achievement at the US Olympic trials, when he was asked about his motivation in the sport, Quincy did not name any sprinters.

Rather, NFL veteran Ray Lewis turned out to be Quincy’s idol. With prominent emotion, the athlete expressed his fandom for the Baltimore Ravens star, stating, “He [Ray Lewis] is the person I’ve always wanted to go out with.” Since his childhood, he has been watering this discipleship, and there won’t be any break in the future, as he expressed. Meanwhile, the fans could not hold their breath easily after witnessing the pace (21.8 mph as per Real Analytics) Quincy generated in the field. They showered the exceptional talent with their praises in the comment box.

For last several days, Tyreek Hill has been brick-batting Noah Lyles, challenging him in a race. The NFL’s Cheetah put his demand “Sign the contract” for the World’s fastest man. However, when it came to acknowledging Quincy Wilson’s talent, the same individual acknowledged, “I don’t see enough people talking Quincy Wilson, bro 16 and out there competing.” That has guaranteed the NFL world’s gaga over the 16-year-old high school athlete’s prowess. So fans are now expecting more, possibly a position in the mainstream of the NFL.

Among those fans, one pointed out, “Bro made it to NFL highlight page..his spot secured”. Another voice went a few steps extra, imagining Quincy rubbing shoulders with the Kansas City Chiefs’ great Patrick Mahomes. The concerned comment was etched as “Yep you’re a Kansas City Chief in 2 years buddy”. Someone compared him with the character Forrest Gump.

In the snippet, Quincy Wilson was showcased, running as if he were at the world’s end, giving a similar vibe to Forrest’s run in the movie, Forrest Gump. So someone penned, “he runnin like forest gump out there”. But ultimately, the run was unbelievable to many fans. Moreover, very few would have thought to see Quincy Wilson in that gear with the ball on a football field.
