Success has its price to pay. The athletic duo Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens own their sports domains. Yet they have been living in long-distance frequently. Their first long-distance phase took off in their initial days. Owens was restricted to his home due to COVID-19 limitations while Biles traveled for her Olympic trials. And not much has changed today.

Days after the power couple exchanged vows in late April, Owens signed with the Green Bay Packers. Since then, the duo has been residing in different states, owing to their professional commitments. While Biles took her comebacks seriously and reclaimed her title, Owens added his name to the 53-man roster. With the athletic spotlight back on them, the couple is once again pushed away from each other owing to their duties. However, in a heartwarming effort, Biles reassured her husband of her return.

The only gymnast with eight all-around titles, Biles, is spending her off-camp early morning hours perfecting her routines. She is also taking part in her childhood best friend, Rachel Moore’s upcoming wedding. Besides that, the loving wife was also present to cheer for her man. This was all in a week! After the Packers match ended, Biles shared a story on her Instagram insinuating her departure, and a promised reunion. The caption read, “See you in 6 weeks babe,” with three teary-eyed emojis.

The 4’8″ gymnast posed in her story, giving her 5′ 11″ NFL safety husband a side hug while beaming widely. Alongside Owens, who was wearing an all-grey outfit and designer Crocs, she looked stunning in an all-black look, along with her yellow and white Nike sneakers. The pro football player was joyous after the Packers’ 38-20 victory over the Chicago Bears in the North Divisional game.

When Biles stood by her decision to stay in Texas and instead back Owens, who worked in Wisconsin, their dedication became obvious. Biles was there in the pre-season game for Owens, even though he missed all of the US National Championships in August. Hence, the gymnast mentioned her relationship with Owens being different soon after they got married.

However, the American star added they are committed to their respective sports. Having been away for days, Biles described their meeting to be a cheerful occasion. Up next, the season underway will now be a test of both athletes’ mettle, as they have to endure another month’s distance.

While the community loves to see the star couple together, they also respect their athletic finesse. Biles and Owens don’t mind being apart, as long as their fields demand them to be. As per sources, the eagerly anticipated match against their rival team, the Bears, was Owens’ first season match with the Packers. He took the opening safety position, playing extra time on the ground with seasoned safety during camp selection and practice. A real leap for the pro footballer after the 2018 undrafted season. Now, in the lead spot, with the Vince Lombardi Trophy in sight, there are 17 lined-up matches in the NFL season for the Green Bay Packers.

On the other hand, Biles is once again leading the US Gymnastics team with four other Olympians who will compete in this fall’s World Championships. In the next few days, a tryout camp will take place which will announce the American senior women’s team. The World Championships take place in Antwerp, Belgium, from September 30 to October 8, where Biles will be back after last competing in 2019. The gymnast then intends to participate in the Paris Games the following summer, where her skills are much anticipated.
