In a recent turn of events, a consistent supporter of Dave has come to his defense once again. The fallout from the controversial podcast comments, particularly targeting Swiftie and Trace, led to intense backlash. One enraged fan expressed a desire for Barstool Sports to crumble, condemning the comments as “disgusting” and lacking respect for women. Responding to this, a woman known for backing Dave, identified as “Bss123456” on October 2nd, defended Barstool. In a recent development, Dave Portnoy acknowledged and thanked the woman for her comment, expressing that he lost sleep over the controversy.

The woman wrote it her post, Listen I’m as repulsed by @BarstoolBigCat as the next person. But @stoolpresidente is the biggest Swiftie on the planet. You may not like Barstool but overall they are a Taylor Swift shop. Its unfair to paint entire company under same brush because of a few disgusting comments“. In his reply to the post, Portnoy emphasized freedom of speech and hoped that Dan, another Barstool personality, could learn from the situation, urging everyone to move forward with a message that “Taylor is about love, not hate.”

After the Chiefs-Jets game, Barstool Sports hosts Dan “Big Cat” Katz and commenters on the podcast shared controversial views on Taylor Swift’s presence, deeming her a “distraction” to football. The co-hosts suggested she’s a problem for the NFL and joked about inappropriate details involving Swift. The co-host Sollenberger, adds, “Taylor Swift is a problem for the NFL. She’s got to stop going to games”. To this comment, another co-host Katz agreed and further added, “She’s bad for football.”
