Surprisingly, Simone Biles reposted the video on X and claimed her as one of her own.

Biles wrote, “that’s our girl 🥹💜🐯 so proud of you amari” to let everyone know of their kinship. LSU’s win came at a small margin with a total point of 196.975 against Ohio State’s 196.775. Amari Drayton was a contributing factor in this win, but it was possible in the wake of a last-minute shuffle.

Amari Drayton secures a spot in a surprising twist

The LSU Tigers had planned Kiya Johnson as the last gymnast for the floor routine. However, at the last moment, she needed to drop her name out of the contention. The LSU coach then put Amari Drayton’s name up to replace her. As the anchor for the Tigers, Drayton secured 9.925 points in her debut performance.
