After his professional accomplishments as a celebrated NBA player and an Academic Award-winning writer, Kobe Bryant’s sudden death in a helicopter crash was announced on January 26, 2020. While traveling with his daughter for a girls’ basketball game, the crash killed all nine people aboard. Though the fandom could no longer experience his further endeavors, he was honored in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame that year.
