The martial artist who is an expert in delivering convincing performances mastered the art of keeping command over his emotions and putting out what?s needed.?

However, the legendary action star once had a tough time holding down his emotions. Back in 1992, Ground Chuck recalled the incident during an interview.?

Norris received a phone call that changed his life

The American acting superstar recounted the incident when he got to know about his elder brother?s sudden demise. The reports of ‘The Penthouse’ revealed that he was going to serve as the referee of a karate event that evening. But he received a phone call that turned his life upside down.?

The martial artist recalled that it was her mother?s call, who was sobbing uncontrollably on the other end. She told him that his elder brother Wieland had died. The 82-year-legend was stunned for a moment and couldn?t digest the fact that he was never going to see his brother again. ?As soon as I thought that, boy, the tears started rolling? the actor said.

Norris?s elder brother Wieland was a part of the American army that went to fight in the Vietnam war. The action star also admitted that as soon as he got to know about the tragedy all the noise around him just vanished. He said, ?Everything was quiet for a moment?.?

Norris?s love for his brother can be seen in his movies

The action legend also revealed that he has done most of his movies in the setting of the Vietnam war due to his emotional connection with his brother. He also once thought about joining the American forces to go to Vietnam and for the nation?s respect. However, his brother?s letters helped him realize that it wasn?t necessary to participate in the Vietnam conflict.?

The Ground Chuck also said that the thought of his brother’s demise once helped him deliver a scene during a movie shot. The actor had to play a character who was watching his friend getting burnt. However, he had nothing except a camera in front of him. So he recalled the time when he came to know about Wieland?s death.?
