Chuck Norris’s blunt attitude gave tough time to Simpson

While reminiscing about her initial years, Simpson recalled the time when she asked Norris to guide her. The 42-year-old revealed that Chuck Norris was her mentor in the early 1990s when she was struggling to get a headstart in her career. According to the report by ABC News, Simpson was just a 12-year-old when she became a student. However, Norris didn?t let the age difference soften his approach.?

Simpson revealed that Norris was “a little tough” on the actress as her childhood acting coach. She recalled the time when Norris observed her skills from a video and gave straightforward feedback.? “He saw one of my tapes. He told me that I moved my eyebrows too much and I had to do my lines with my eyebrows taped,” Simpson said in the interview.

The American singer further revealed that Norris saw potential in her and gave an interesting example of another popular American actor.? She revealed that Norris asked her to channel her inner Denzel Washington to improve her performance. Simpson’s explanation of him as a ” little tough teacher” hints at his stern personality.

A rejection led Simpson to Norris

Simpson revealed that she was rejected for ‘The Mickey Mouse Club House’ show. It was one of the greatest hits as a show produced for younger audiences and gave rise to stars like Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. But Simpson said that she could not get selected for the auditions during her time.

Despite reaching the final rounds of auditions, Simpson was rejected and asked to take acting lessons by the team. Hence, Chuck Norris turned out to be the go-to person, who eventually became the acting coach of 12-year-old Simpson.?
