The legendary electronic music duo Daft Punk was approached to perform at the event, but the former musical partners did not agree to show up. EDM Tunes have shared a post on their Facebook page with the headline “2024 Paris Olympics Official Hints at Daft Punk Appearance.” Thomas Jolly, the artistic director of the Paris meet, said in a statement given on Tuesday morning on a French radio show that “it would be great if they were in the ceremony.”

He also concluded that it was impossible for the organizers not to think about the duo when it came to a successful French group with international exposure. But when the interview came to an end and Jolly was asked to divulge an unwholesome notion, he replied that he might have lied a bit about daft punk. However, in an official statement released on Wednesday, the director said that the band is not returning for the games. Amidst Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, aka Daft Punk, not returning, the competition still looks promising with all the updates being made.

2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games: The Enthusiasm and Excitement

The French luxury conglomerate LVMH has collaborated with the Paris Olympics as one of its premium partners, and the news has been confirmed by the LVMH website.
