Recounting her early passion for gymnastics, Kali confessed,I initially wanted to go in gymnastics, but eventually, I fell in love with the sport that my family was already in love with and since I got more serious about it, I’ve definitely wanted to go and share that experience with my mom and hopefully my brother as well.” Despite dedicating 11 years to gymnastics, Kali redirected her focus as she matured, embracing kayaking to maintain her fitness and being particularly drawn to the allure of water sports in her native Hawaii. Kali Wilding is one of the top sprint kayakers in the United States.
