The USA?s older judo warriors, in an amazing performance of talent, commitment, and indomitable will, conquered the 2023 Pan American Judo Championships with their own unique style. It was held in Mexico from September 23rd till to September 24th. This championship?was arranged with 48 judokas from four countries in such events as 30 men?s and 3 women’s categories.?
But no one could compare to the Americans who thrilled the audience, achieving an impressive medal tally of 13 on the very first day. The U.S. military veterans showed great skill and heart to win gold in multiple weight classes, silver, and bronze, leaving the fans worldwide in awe.
USA veterans seized seven Golds

The US Judo veterans won seven out of seven gold medals at the event. In there, Julian Prado stood out for his incredible strength and remarkable performance in the Men?s 55-59 73 kg Category. In the Men?s 55-59 81 kg division, Kevin Butler claimed gold for Team USA, while Ricardo Tuero accomplished a similar feat, earning gold in the Men?s 60-64 81 kg division.

Buddy Meagley was a force in the heavier weight classes, winning the Men?s 60-64 100 kg competition, while David Loyst won the Men?s 65-69 81 kg event. In the M60-64 100 kg class, Ivan Mumm demonstrated supreme control, while Sandy North proved his prowess in his M65-69 60 kg class through his dynamism and masterful execution.
