The old adage ‘age is just a number’ has been around for several years, and has found proof of its existence time and again. There isn’t any lack of aged people trying out things that societal norms would’ve otherwise not allowed them to consider. Just like ice skating at age 91. In a heartwarming video post on the Olympics’ Instagram page, Andre Cyr was seen having the time of his life. He had a smile on his face while having his ice skates on, and seemed unbothered by anyone else around him.

In the video, Cyr was seen wearing black pants and a grayish full-sleeve shirt, unlike any traditional costume ice skaters wear. Yet his costume mattered very little to Mr. Cyr. He was simply busy enjoying the moment. The video also had the caption, “The incredible Mr. Andre Cyr. 91 years old and rocking it”.

Ice skating has traditionally always been a popular sport among younger people, such as 17-year-old Ilia Malinin, who stunned everyone with his performance at the 2022 Skate America.
