The daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, Paulina Gretzky, is a multi-talented personality. The 34-year-old is a model, actress, and pop singer. Classically trained Pauline Gretzky first made her music debut in 2003 at Heritage Classic singing I Will Remember You. The following year, she sang the Canadian national anthem at the 2004 Hockey World Cup in Toronto, Canada. The interviewer asked her to describe the style of music that she had been working on. The 23-year-old Paulina explained, “It’s very pop mainstream. When I first started, I wanted this Avril Lavigne, Gwen Stefani rocker girl vibe, but then I grew up and changed. I have a very raspy voice.”
She also revealed the idols that inspire her to create unique music, “My inspiration has always been Stevie Nicks. Hopefully, it won’t sound like what everybody else is doing right now, and hopefully people will see the uniqueness in my voice and fall in love with it.”
Paulina first began her musical journey at the age of 16. She went to Interlochen [Center for the Arts] where she studies Opera.
Apart from her musical career, Gretzky explored her potential as a model and an actress. As a model, she appeared on the FLARE magazine cover in 2005. Paulina also played the role of a gorgeous blonde senior” in the 1980 musical remake, Fame.
