LIV golf star Dustin Johnson recently left for Augusta, Georgia for the greatest golf event in the world, the 87th Masters Tournament which commenced on April 6th. Needless to say, the entire Gretzky family is rooting for their golfer member. Apart from Paulina Gretzky donning a customized “JOHNSON” named jacket, the golfer’s in-laws, hockey legend Wayne Gretzky and his wife Janet Jones also showed a supportive gesture to boost Johnson’s confidence.

On April 6th, Gretzky’s wife Janet Jones took to her Instagram to convey her support for her dear son-in-law. She shared an adorable image with a heartfelt note to cheer up the 2020 winner of the Masters event.

Janet Jones had once played Cupid for the couple. In fact, she is the one who made the bachelors meet as she acknowledged the golfer as a perfect match for her daughter. Jones has always definitely admired her son-in-law, and when it came to giving out a few cheers, Janet didn’t hold back. 

To boost Dustin Johnson’s spirits, Janet Jones shared adorable pictures of the golfer with his wife Paulina and their children from the pre-event of the Masters  Tournament. She added a heartfelt note wishing that read, “Let’s Go DUSTIN! We are with you every step, we Love you !!!!! It’s Go time , Austin you got is back , his bag and his Love ⛳️ #masters

Janet Jones has always shown support for Dustin Johnson in his highs and lows. In 2014, Dustin Johnson shocked his fans by announcing his break from golf. He told the media that he took a voluntary leave from the PGA Tour. However, reports indicated that he failed the cocaine test that year. So, when the news broke the internet, Janet was there to defend his grace.

Janet Jones spoke in support of her son-in-law

Coming in support of him, Janet Jones told in an interview in 2015, that it was a tough time for Johnson and that he met very restricted groups of people then. “Maybe he wasn’t comfortable in his own skin before,” expressed Jones. She also indicated that perhaps it was tough for the golfer to distinguish his real friends from the bunch. It might be the hardest climb of his life but Johnson bounced right back eventually.

Fast forward to now, although the first day at the Masters 2023 had an average start for him, the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Series winner is currently at one-under-par, tied for 26th position along with 11 others. Hopefully, fans will see him shine ahead in the tournament.
