A new Instagram post unveils Dave Portnoy and the Owner’s viral confrontation

A few hours ago, the “Wealth” Instagram account took to its handle and added a new post, with a long cryptic caption. The post poster captured, “Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy argues with pizzeria owner during pizza review.” With this, the post added the caption, “Portnoy criticized the pizza, giving it a low rating, which led to a confrontation with the owner!” It all began during one of his classic pizza reviews outside Dragon Pizza in Somerville, Mass. Portnoy, a Boston Celtics superfan and the founder of Barstool Sports pulled no punches in his assessment, labeling the pizza a “floppy mess” and awarding it a modest 6.4 out of 10.

However, things took a sharp turn when the pizzeria’s owner caught wind of Portnoy’s less-than-glowing review. He emerged from the restaurant, unimpressed with Portnoy’s one-bite critique, and confronted him, stating, “Dave, enjoy your pizza as any customer, but I don’t appreciate what you do, coming in and judging a business with one bite.”
