Stephen Nedoroscik had one mission at the Paris Summer Games—master the pommel horse. And master it he did, delivering a flawless performance that not only helped Team USA secure an Olympic bronze but also earned him his own individual medal in the pommel horse finals. With his boyish charm and jaw-dropping skillset, Nedoroscik quickly became a fan favorite, his name echoing across the gymnastics world. But now, the 25-year-old Olympian is ready to leap from the mat to the dance floor in an exciting new chapter of his career.

What’s your perspective on:

Will Ariana Grande's presence elevate Stephen Nedoroscik's gymnastics debut to a whole new level?

Have an interesting take?

Yes, you read that right. Nedoroscik, the pommel horse specialist, is trading in his grips and chalk for sequins and dance shoes as one of the star contestants on Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars. Talk about a twist! Fans are already buzzing with excitement, and the energy only amplified when the Olympian and his dance partner, Rylee Arnold, made their dazzling entrance on the DWTS red carpet on September 4.

When The Hollywood Reporter asked the pair about their dream theme night, Arnold didn’t hesitate: “Ariana Grande Theme Night with all her songs!” And to the delight of fans, Nedoroscik enthusiastically nodded in agreement, proving that while he might be a force on the pommel horse, he’s ready to groove to pop anthems and hit the ballroom with the same precision and flair that earned him Olympic glory.

USA Gymnastics shared this wholesome interaction on Instagram, captioned, On behalf of @stephen_nedoroscik & @ryleearnold1, we are once again asking @arianagrande to borrow herSide to SidePommel Horse 💖But he had more to add. I can see that working out. She had a pommel horse for part of her concert one time.” At the 2016 VMA, the pop star mounted a neon pink pommel horse that featured her name while performing her single.

Arnold seemed surprised by that. “I literally DM’d her and asked if I could have it,” Stephen Nedoroscik confessed. Unfortunately, he never got a response. His dance partner couldn’t help but say, “Ariana Grande, answer.” However, the reporter encouraged him by stating how they could borrow it for his DWTS stint. “Please?” the gymnast asked with his fingers crossed. Fresh off his debut at the French capital, the 25-year-old was the first celebrity announced.

Even though his skills helped him clinch two Olympic medals, the internet couldn’t help but compare him to Superman’s alter ego, Clark Kent. He also became a meme overnight because of an image of him resting his head with his eyes closed during the men’s gymnastics team finals. How does the gymnast feel about it? He’s a fan. The 25-year-old stated he would love to bring elements of the sport into his dance routines.
