The three-time gold medalist is eying an Olympic comeback at the 2024 Paris Olympics. As she intensifies her preparations, the 27-year-old has revealed aspirations for another prestigious event in 2024.

Douglas retired after the 2016 Summer Olympics, leaving an illustrious career behind her. Who knew we could see the American gymnast back in leotards? With preparations already in full flow for the Olympics, Douglas has hinted at Winter Cup 2024 participation as well. Will she?

In late 2022, Gabby Douglas’ comeback reports began surfacing online. Soon, the reports were confirmed as Douglas was spotted with WOGA athletes in the Gym. Now, the Olympic Champion is all set for a grand comeback. However, it could be sooner than we thought.

USA Gymnastics posted an image of Douglas on X, where she could be seen training on a halfpipe. This image, however, had a screenshot of a conversation between a fan and Douglas. “Winter Cup?”, a user wrote, and in reply, Douglas commented with some teasing (👀) emojis, hinting at her participation in the prestigious Cup.

Although nothing is confirmed, Winter Cup 2024 could surely be in the 27-year-old’s plans. It serves as a qualifying event for the U.S. Gymnastics Championships and is scheduled for February 23-25, 2024. With still a few months left and preparations already in full flow, Douglas could surely test herself at the Winter Cup as she eyes a grand comeback.

Gabby Douglas’s Winter Cup participation will only mean one thing-the 2012 London Olympics hero is back at her best and is looking to reign even after the Olympics. Sirens will surely be ringing in the rival camps as the famed ‘Fierce Five’ member looks to script history once more after a long gap of 7 years.
