In her latest Instagram story, Simone Biles shared exciting news. She has finally made a touchdown in Antwerp, Belgium, days before her return to the global stage. In a carousel of images showcasing snaps and snippets of the beautiful city and her in-flight aesthetics, she wrote, ?Touch down in Belgium ??? with a yellow heart. But the excitement and news did not stop there.

She continued by teasing fans, saying “Ready to do some cartwheels or something?. From September 30 to October 8, 2023, the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium, will host the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Antwerp is hosting this prestigious event for the third time. Previously the country hosted the first World Championships in 1903 and did so again in 2013.
Countdown to the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships begins
The World Championships serve as a crucial qualification event for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Notably, the top nine teams in both the men’s and women’s team qualifications, excluding those already qualified from the previous year’s World Championships, will secure five quota places for Paris as a team. Moreover, several individuals will earn the coveted nominative berths to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. With just 4 days to go the journey to Antwerp hasn’t been without its share of challenges, and yet Simone Biles, at the World Selection camp in Katy, demonstrated sheer dominance.

Despite a challenging start, she quickly found her groove, leaving her competitors trailing in her wake. With an impressive score of 55.700, Biles clinched the top spot and secured her ticket to the world championships. Joining her to complete the roster for Belgium on Day 2 were the powerhouses Shilese Jones, Leanne Wong, Joscelyn Roberson, and Skye Blakely, and as a traveling alternate, Kayla DiCello.
