Jade Carey gave fans a rare glimpse into her intense training regimen in a recent Instagram story, giving a behind-the-scenes look at her commitment to performance. She was seen working out her core, emphasizing the value of physical strength and conditioning in gymnastics tagging a self-described physical therapy specialist brand @healingmotionpt on Instagram. She captioned it, “Getting me strong and competition ready.“
Carey and her teammates reportedly include a strenuous ab circuit in their weekly training regimen, reported the Olympics ahead of the 2020-21 Tokyo Olympics. There are about twenty-five different core-focused exercises in her circuit, all of which are done on the ground. Carey’s ability to perform difficult skills with grace and precision is further rewarded by a strong core.
The 23-year-old gymnast also shared, that their circuit is “pretty quick, but it’s still pretty hard and a good workout.” It’s been six years since Carey’s international debut as a member of the American team, having competed in the Tokyo Games as well as the World Championships. Reflecting on the same she said, “I know exactly how it’s going to go and what I need to be prepared for.” While she is busy honing her skills, the recent win ended her season on a victorious note.
