Many fans of his have wanted to know about his newfound fashion style. He talked about it recently in an interview. Carlos said that he wants to present a very Korean look and that his style has changed quite a lot.

In an interview with Dyan Castillejo, Carlos Yulo said, “Well, my last crop tops are all women’s sizes, because only women’s fit me. Because when I go to men’s, I’m really big. And the portion of my body is small, so I make my legs longer when I’m wearing a crop top. So, yes, my style has changed. That’s interesting.”

The interviewer referenced an Instagram post from September 28th. In that, he uploaded a few photos of himself wearing a blue crop top and trousers and captioned it with a flag of South Korea. Thus, this was possibly what Carlos was talking about when he referenced Korean fashion. The post went moderately viral on Instagram, garnering more than 76,000 likes and 1600 comments. This also showcased his popularity in the Philippines.

However, all this brings up a valid question. With Carlos Yulo now seemingly enjoying a well-deserved break, will he return to the competition that gave him this newfound celebrity status?

Carlos Yulo definitely wants to return to take part in the next Olympics four years down the line. Not only that, he has underlined his ambitions for his comeback. “My next goal is to get a medal in the individual all-around and try to protect the gold medal in floor and vault,” he said, talking to The Strait Times. This is a serious sign of intent shown by the gymnast.

Instead of slowing down after a major victory, he wants to do it all over again, this time with an additional medal. If Carlos Yulo succeeds in achieving these goals, very few could argue his entry into the debate for the greatest male gymnast of all time. The Olympic gold medalist later added that the experience of participating in the competition is also a treasure in itself.

“But there’s always more to it. It’s not all about the medals. For me, it’s all about experience,” he said. So while Carlos Yulo will compete for the medals, reaching LA will also mean a huge deal to him. If he does so, the whole Philippines will be backing him, just like they did in Paris.

This was evident during Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s words to Yulo during his return to the country. The president described the support in the country for him, saying, “Filipinos all over the world stood united, cheering and rooting for you.” Surely, this would also be the case during the LA Olympics, as Carlos would try to make history again.
