In that YouTube video, Simone’s mother shared a moment where she was proud of her daughter. Although, according to her, there were many times when she was proud of Simone. But out of all those proud moments, she won’t ever forget the 2013 World Championship.

“I mean there’s been several times proud that I’m your mother but I read I still not forget how I felt for the 2013 world champion I mean she it was something that will forever stay in my memory simply because the last thing I ever thought about was Simone winning and being a world champion and she did and I will never forget that…” said Simone Biles’ mother. She also did receive a big hug from her daughter after that, but it was an emotional moment as her daughter achieved what her mother wanted her to.
