“My parents made the most difficult decision ever,” Paul Juda said, crediting his parents’ contribution to ignite his American dream. The 22-year-old is currently in Minnesota’s US Olympic Gymnastics Trials, vying for a spot in the Paris Games. The young man already has experience representing the USA at the 2023 World Championships. He was in the bronze medal-winning men’s artistic all-around team.

All about Paul Juda’s non-American dad and mom

Born on July 7, 2001, in Deerfield, Illinois, his parents are Ewa Bacher and Jozef Juda. “My dad came here first and then my mom came later on,” Paul Juda said, according to NBC Sports, in August 2023 before the US Championships. Having started his gymnastics journey at the tender age of five with the unwavering support from his parents.

What’s more inspiring is how Paul Juda’s parents took a tough call to leave their homeland in Poland for a better future in an unknown country. “Whenever I get reminded of that story, it’s always super empowering to think about how much of an opportunity I have and to not squander it because of the fact that they decided to make this a leap with quite literally no insurance,” said the 22-year-old. He also recalled his father being a certified electrician and working hard in America for his family every day.
“She moved here without any English either,” Paul Juda said on his mother’s relocation to America. He also revealed his mother working as a nanny in California to support his family. Seeing his parents, the 22-year-old has always been motivated to do well in his life! But his family has someone else who is equivalent to that of a paternal figure.
The Gymnastics icon has a loving brother and sister

“I’m first generation American. My siblings were both born in either place. My brother was born in Poland, but my sister was born here.” The 22-year-old revealed his brother pursuing a PhD in molecular biology from UCLA and his sister pursuing a nursing degree. When Juda did not have his license, his siblings would always drive him and pick him up from gymnastics training.
A bunch of supportive people surround Paul Juda, making his goal to make it to the Paris Olympics much easier. While he faces the likes of Brody Malone, Yul Moldauer, and Fred Richard, it will be interesting to see how he performs at Minnesota.
