Leanne Wong’s mother, Bee Ding, holds a PhD in pharmacology and is a research scientist.

She currently manages her daughter’s bow-manufacturing business from their home in Overland Park. After a short hiatus during the World Championships, Ding returned to working on the bows, staying very occupied with numerous pending orders. Leanne Wong’s father, Marco Wong, possesses both an MD and a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology. Both her parents previously used to work together in a laboratory.

In 2018, Leanne Wong shone brightly at the GK US Classic by winning the all-around vault, and floor exercises events. After securing a score of 51.900 in all-round, she successfully earned her spot in the nationals.
