The U.S. Women’s World Team Selection Camp is a major event in the gymnastics calendar this season. It will determine the U.S. team for the World Championships and the Pan American Games. The two-day camp will take place in Katy, Texas, on September 19 and 20. The gymnastics legends worldwide are preparing for the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, which will take place in Antwerp, Belgium. Remarkably, the USA Gymnastics team has so far earned six world titles, which they are looking forward to extending next month.
The athlete selection committee will pay close attention to each of the gymnast?s performances during the selection camp. On 19th September, that is, the first day of the camp will see the athletes competing on all four apparatuses for the all-around event. With the absence of Sunisa Lee, Simone Biles might have an easy chance of earning the title once again.
Lee declined to attend the camp because of her kidney problems and is focusing on her recovery, per sources. On the second day of the camp, there are Select Events scheduled, where as per the ASC?s rules, “athletes compete on a minimum of one event as requested by the Athlete Selection Committee (ASC).? The athlete may request to show events that the ASC does not request”. Other than the all-around winner, the committee will choose five other members for the team.

The Olympic gold medalist is resolved to redeem herself at the 2024 Summer Olympics and could not be more focused on her training. She is on a mission to relive the glory of her previous victories, especially the one at the 2023 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships.
