The Olympics makes us feel a rush of emotions, taking us back to a multitude of history-making moments that had taken place in the marquee event. After some ups and downs in the gymnastic realm at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, it’s time to ring in another. 2024 has kept fans on their toes with peak anticipation. They have eyes glued to their phone screens for the newest Olympic updates. One such news break was Gabby Douglas‘ Olympic comeback after 7 years.

Douglas, a member of the gold-winning teams at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics, has an all-around gold medal under her belt as well. For her phenomenal maneuvers, she earned the gold all-around in 2012, also becoming the first woman in history with that title. But when asked about what steered her engine, she always had a cryptic reply. But the former first lady of the US, Michelle Obama, admonished her with a twist.

After winning the Olympic all-around gold, the 28-year-old was naturally the apple of the netizens’ eyes. Not only did she garner love and respect from the common crowd, but she shared space with some celebrities, too. One of them was Michelle Obama, who invited Douglas over to a chitchat session on her Tonight Show. Sitting in a star-studded setting with Obama and Jay Leno, the glamour of the room was shining brightly. But Douglas didn’t shy away from joking around with her responses. When asked about how she fete her gold medal-winning performance, she replied, “I splurged on an Egg McMuffin at McDonald’s!” Going strong since 1972, the unique sandwich had captured the Olympian’s heart. But Obama’s replyYeah, Gabby, don’t encourage him on Leno’s Egg McMuffin?” was jocular.

Though Obama’s tone looks rude to read, she had a fun intention behind it. Taking a jab at Jay Leno’s light-heartedness, she asked Gabby Douglas to not influence him wrongly. Now eyeing the 2024 Winter Cup, what’s up with her recently?
