The uniforms of Brody Malone, Fred Richard, and other team members for the Paris Olympics 2024

In a July 10 press release, Matt Cowan, CEO of Elite Sportswear, LP, the parent company of GK Elite, expressed gratitude for the effort put into creating the 2024 uniforms. Cowan said, “We are excited to continue our partnership with USA Gymnastics and unveil our extraordinary designs for the gymnasts representing our country at the Olympics”. GK has a renowned history as the top apparel provider for competitive gymnasts, and we’re proud to see the behemoth brand on the sport’s biggest stage.

The USA men’s gymnastics team, featuring Brody Malone and Fred Richard, will showcase meticulously designed attire: red long johns paired with silver leotards that extend to cover their feet. The leotards also feature the name of the USA in the front with red, blue, white accents reminiscent of the American flag. It gives the effect of the gymnasts being shrouded in the American flag. The athletes will don eight different competitive costumes, with the red one reserved for the final day.

GK Elite, responsible for the men’s and women’s Olympic costumes, stated, “The collection draws inspiration from classic American patriotism and old Hollywood glamor while blending sophisticated Parisian high fashion and sparkling light to pay homage to the host city”. The outfits were revealed alongside the names of the gymnasts. Both the men’s and women’s uniforms were designed by Jeanne Diaz, who is the director and designed, cut and assembled them at the headquarters of Elite Sportswear in Reading, Pa.

Alongside the competitive costumes from GK Elite, the US athletes will be decked out in Ralph Lauren for the opening and closing ceremonies. This is for the whole of team USA. The brand revealed the ensemble. It features single-breasted wool blazers and oxford shirts. Additionally, there is a classic tailored denim for opening festivities. For the closing ceremony, it will feature moto-esque jackets, polo shirts, and white denim. The brand released a statement saying, “Ralph Lauren is profoundly honored to define the look of the American delegation as they represent our country in one of the world’s most celebrated and storied events.”

They also conveyed that this summer, Paris would serve as the setting where fashion and sport would intersect on the global stage, presenting an exceptionally thrilling opportunity. The outfit is built for maximum comfort as well. The leotards do not have any complicated stitching or embellishments around the leg line or under the arms. This is the outfit in which the team aims to win their first gold in 20 years, since 1984 so tailors the world over? Beware as Team USA will take over this year, donned in razzmatazz and sheer glory.
