Saturday marked a new beginning in the lives of gymnast and seven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles and NFL safety Jonathan Owens. The power couple accepted each other as their life partner in the most wonderful wedding ceremony held in Cabo as they said “I Do” in front of a gathering of 144 guests. The couple had already had a ‘civil’ ceremony prior to this.

While their civil wedding was a toned-down private affair, the Cabo wedding was the real ceremony, and it blew everyone’s mind away with its luxurious setting and magnificent ambiance. Just as Simone Biles was about to tie the knot with her beau Jonathan Owens, they received a sign from mother nature, which almost seemed like a blessing to the newlyweds.

Biles, in an interview with Vogue, described her nuptials in detail, giving her fans a perspective about what she was feeling at each exact moment. It was 5 p.m. when the beautiful bride Biles walked down the aisle with her father at the Umi Terrace of the Nobu Los Cabos. As her father escorted her towards the wedding altar, cellist Andrew Savoia played in the background. As dreamy as the setting sounds, all was not going well for Simone Biles in the beginning.

She told Vogue, “I?ve never been so nervous before in my life.” However, as she saw her true love waiting for her, everything else was forgotten and the world started spinning on the right axis again. Biles recalled, “Seeing Jonathan at the altar was a dream.” But perhaps, the most special moment of the ceremony was the nod of blessing that Biles and Owens received from mother nature herself. Simone Biles revealed an astonishing detail about her ceremony, and said, “Whales were jumping out of the water as our ceremony started.”

It was truly the most magical!” Just as dreamy as the ceremony was, the married couple outshined everyone and everything else in the room. They seemed to exude endless radiance, happy to be finally tied to each other.
