LSU Gymnastics has recently surged in popularity, evidenced by the program selling out all tickets for the 2024 Gymnastics season, reaching an all-time high of 8,000 tickets sold. The team anticipates a similar outcome in the SEC, where ticket sales average a higher count of 12,000 per meet.

However, for this emphatic achievement, the role of the athletes can’t be ignored. The program definitely accepts that. To seal that profoundly, LSU Gymnastics asked each of its Tigers about their meal on the eve of Thanksgiving. Let’s find out who spelled what.?

Mac and Cheese becomes the winner in LSU Gymnastics’ query?

November 23 is Thanksgiving day this year. The LSU Gymnastics has chosen this occasion to take the confirmation of its athletes regarding their Thanksgiving dishes. The X handle, @LSUgym has posted that conversational video. Framing the festive mood rightly, the caption read, “it’s that time of the year for our favorite Thanksgiving dishes” with the hashtag, #GeauxTigers.?

In the video, Kylie Coen named deviled eggs as her Thanksgiving food. However, her teammates differed in that choice, as they named several. Annie Beard chose sweet potato casserole. Leah Miller shared the same choice. Sophomore Bryce Wilson also went with sweet potato casserole. But mac and cheese came out as the winner after earning maximum votes, including Savannah Schoenherr. She paired with Haleigh Bryant, Cammy Hall, and a few other Tigers to save the day for mac and roll. However, Olivia Dunne went with a whole unconventional choice in the sauce.

LSU Gymnastics’ Thanksgiving ceremony?

LSU Gymnastics last made headlines for a Thanksgiving occasion back in 2011. Former coach D-D Breaux commemorated the event by organizing a turkey carving contest and inviting all the gymnasts to participate. While most of the gymnasts didn’t directly join the contest, they lent a hand by assisting. Known for her enthusiasm, Breaux made sure to playfully challenge the other participants that night.

Since then, LSU Gymnastics hasn’t organized a similar bonding event for this auspicious occasion. Hence, the video posted this year to commemorate the occasion may give fans a different feel. However, Aleah Finnegan‘s recent performance in the World Championship could have a ripple effect. The 20-year-old LSU Tiger achieved an all-around score of 51.366 there, marking her as the first active gymnast in the school’s history to participate in the Olympics.
