The 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships are currently underway with the gymnastic-verse rooting for their favorites. As the audience grabbed their seats at the Sportpaleis, the men’s gymnastic team girded up their loins. Moreover, for the third time, the USA men’s team roster has set the Antwerp ground ablaze. But another nation stood atop the podium on day 1.

On rotation 1 of subdivision 3, as fans held onto their seats tighter, Japan flew past the USA’s standings with a whopping 258.228. Japan’s Tanigawa Wataru scored an 84.731 to lead the individual all-around rankings. Further, Olympic all-around gold medalist Hashimoto Daiki closely followed with an 84.665. Carlos Yulo of the Philippines, a two-time gold medalist at the world championships, came in second with an 84.664, trailing Hashimoto by just 0.001. Therefore, with a score of 83.964,

As the podium training sessions kicked off, the spectators witnessed some impeccable performances by the gymnasts. Among the star gymnasts, Khoi Young and Fred Richard threw an open rivalry into the gymnastic world. Out of all the gymnasts, Fred Richard’s floor routine and Asher Hong’s vault really worked wonders for the US team. Despite several setbacks and decent standings, the men will make a comeback for the team final on October 3.
