In the mornings here, it would be night there.” Simone was struggling with her mental health; she eventually retreated her name from the final individual all-around competition. He adds, “I would just kind of catch her before she would go to sleep and just try to give her motivational speeches to kind of keep her head up.” Owens had a sigh of relief when Simone flew back to America. Though Owens himself could not make it to the final 53-man roster, he made sure that he was there for Simone.

Grieving from her heartbreak, Simone eventually found her solace in Jonathan, the ace football player. The young couple met on a dating app. Having found the “spark,” the duo eventually started dating. After two years of dating, the pair decided to make it official.

The football star took to his knees to pop up the crucial question to gymnastics GOAT, Simone. For the fans, the excitement doubled during Valentine’s eve, as the two announced their engagement.

With the wedding just round the corner, the power couple is busy making plans for their special day. From wedding cakes to dresses to guest lists, a lot needs to be taken care of.
