Olivia Dunne has many versions. Being a gymnast on one hand, and a social media star on the other. Being a mom to her beloved Roux on one hand, and a guide to her fellow athletes on the other. Though her social media sensationalism and glamorous gymnastics routines are fetching cash, there’s an esoteric truth behind.

The life of a gymnast isn’t smooth as far as clean landings are concerned. One misstep and the point deductions follow. Having said so, even the highest-paid NCAA athlete, who’s an epitome of perfection, is a student athlete at the end of the day. Though her social media is proliferating, the harsh reality behind her college career is unavoidable.

Boasting a whopping 7.8m followers in TikTok, the 21-year-old never fails to keep her fans on their toes. But she’s also aware of her popularity and which side of hers gets sold more. So, to clear the air, she has posted a video with the caption, “The side the media doesn’t see”.

The video featured Olivia Dunne in two contrasting scenarios. In one, she’s posing with a crown on the LSU Tigers’ photoshoot day, screaming ‘queen’ in her mind. The other photo is proof that an athlete’s life is not all glittery. Lying on a round sofa, Livvy curled up in pain after her gymnastics display.

Also known as ‘beam queen’, Livvy had turned heads with her uneven bars routines as well. At the 2020-21 SEC Championships, she had scored a remarkable 9.9 to anchor LSU to the team’s silver finish. She scored 9.85 in the uneven bars, despite her torn labrums and torn biceps at the 2023 season debut. Though the media wasn’t privy to the true Olivia, they got a little hint of her watchful and benign motherly side recently.

Already well known to mother Roux like a pro, the 21-year-old brought some rays of sunshine to the hospital beds. She recently visited Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health to spend quality time with afflicted kids. According to her Instagram story, she wrote, “Love spending time at @ololchildrens.”

The stories were proof that the gymnast had already bonded with them over their adorable crafts. The crafts involved fingerpainting, with the help of which she made a crossed pink and blue ribbon symbol. It stands for cancer awareness.
