In an effort to assist displaced youth in discovering a sense of belonging via athletics, the Olympic Refugee Foundation (ORF) and Nike have established a partnership. According to the partnership agreement, Nike will provide financial assistance to the ORF’s flagship Terrains d’Avenir initiative in Paris.

The initiative aims to provide displaced women and girls with access to safe sports. Together, the Olympic Refuge Foundation and Nike will also train more coaches to make their fields safer and more inclusive for all players. Moreover, Nike will also contribute in-kind to the Foundation.

This contribution will go to the Refugee Athlete Scholarship recipients and the International Olympic Committee Refugee Olympic Team. It will be used to make playing and training uniforms for the refugee athletes competing in the Paris Olympics. While this is a goodwill project from Nike, it is also working on a new development for all the sneakerheads.

Nike drops an update about the latest Air Jordan sneakers

Nike will be launching a special shoe model for the upcoming Paris Olympics. Named the Jordan 4 SE Paris, the shoes retain the signature outlook of the AJs, while adding a dash of sophistication. The shoes will feature an all-gray color scheme to give an elegant touch to the design.

The rubber outsole of these Jordan 4s is dark gray, while the midsole is a mix of two hues of gray. The model will also carry a mesh for added protection and will be listed at $225. While the AJs hit the market in July 2024, a veteran swimmer may return for the Paris Olympics as well.

Tokyo defending champ Ariarne Titmus to make a comeback?

Ariarne Titmus fans were worried sick about her health more than her performance when she had to go under the knife. Titmus had developed two benign tumors in her ovaries, which were successfully removed via surgery. However, she still had to take a break to recover.

But, she made a long-awaited return for the Queensland State Championship and competed in the 200m freestyle final. According to Titmus, “I’m really playing catch-up at the moment, trying to put in as much work as I can, so I’m pretty buggered racing here.” The 2x Olympic gold medalist also said, “I definitely have time, but I don’t have time to waste.”

Thus, swimming fans can almost be sure that they’ll see the swimming superstar ace the Paris Olympics. While Titmus says she’ll be back for the Olympics, another Australian swimmer made a cryptic post, suggesting he’ll take the gold in 2024.

A gold medal at the Paris Olympics for Cody Simpson?

Cody Simpson is a singer-turned-swimmer who has been raking in good numbers in the water. The swimming superstar recently took to Instagram and shared his image after a great 100m finish. The post carried the caption, “51.67 100m Fly. Small steps forward still forward. I’m going to crack the code before I’m through.”

Although not stated clearly, the Australian swimmer is definitely eyeing the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Just like Simpson, the eyes of US gymnast Simone Biles is also on the gold medal. However, the greatest gymnast in history had to deal with an unpleasant issue this week.

Simone Biles almost loses it on social media

Simone Biles frequently visits the games of her husband Jonathan Owens, who plays for the Green Bay Packers. The social media-savvy athlete recently uploaded a cute picture of herself in burgundy co-ords and a jungle-printed jacket. However, fans paid extra emphasis on her belly, with some of them imagining a small baby bump there.
