Suni Lee’s recovery and comeback journey is indeed one for the books. After kidney disease kept her from participating for most of last season, she tested her abilities at the recently concluded 2024 Xfinity US Gymnastics Championships. Surpassing expectations in her first all-around competition since the Tokyo Olympics, Lee ranked fourth in the senior women’s standings with a 110.650.

With this gripping performance, the 21-year-old has won a ticket to Minneapolis, where she will vie for a top 5 finish. And naturally, these results have jazzed up all the Lee fans. They are euphoric to see Lee back in action. A video uploaded by Evan Monivong on X recently attests to it.

The post shows a female fan tossing her t-shirt toward Suni Lee, for her autograph. Pleasantly surprised, Lee grabs it and turns toward a table to sign it. She appears open-mouthed with amazement as the fan continues to cheer, This is the world’s best!” Raising her hand with excitement, the fan further exclaims,Yes!……we didn’t have people like you. You are the f**king best!

Oh my god! remarks Evan, a gymnast slated to appear at the Olympic Team Trials himself, as a group of girls clamor for Suni’s autograph. He laughingly adds, This is crazy as Suni throws back the t-shirt and sizes another one. Finally, the sensational Lee herself expressed that the feeling was “unreal.”

Flashing her radiant smile, it was as though the Olympic gold medalist was in disbelief as people extolled her. This is sure to boost Suni Lee ahead of some high-significance appearances. Lee’s inherent motivation has also ascended in the recent past, but the question remains: are these enough for her to cut her second consecutive Olympic games?
