American gymnastics legend Mary Lou Retton was in a very critical health condition several weeks ago. This had her family, especially her daughter Emma Kelley, extremely worried. However, as hardcore gymnastics fans came forward to help, the Olympic gold medalist was safely pulled out of danger.

While Mary Lou Retton was hospitalized, Kelley was supported by her longtime boyfriend Hudson Clark. Interestingly, the romantic couple recently reached a new milestone in their relationship. Expressing her feelings for the same, Kelley took to social media to pen several heartfelt messages for her boyfriend.

Emma Kelley added several stories to her Instagram account, where she announced the completion of three years with Clark. The gymnast posted several pictures along with several affectionate words. Kelley wrote, “January 10th. Best 3 Years of my life with you. I love you.”

Kelley further wrote, “Thank you for drawing me to the bigger purpose in life. Thank you for your patience, love, and kindness. You are one of a kind. Blessed to have you by my side.” While the daughter of Mary Lou Retton poured her heart out, Clark also had some words of affirmation with him.

He wrote, “Happy 3 years! I’m so thankful God put you in my life, I love you!” Hudson Clark and Emma Kelley are student-athletes who represent the Arkansas Razorbacks in collegiate sports. While Clark is a ravishing football player, Kelley follows in the footsteps of Mary Lou Retton and becomes an elegant gymnast. In fact, if she keeps going, she will also make it big in gymnastics like her mom.

America’s first all-around Olympic Gold medal

Mary Lou Retton farmed her celebrity status in American Gymnastics history after winning the first all-around medal individually. Her victory came at the 1984 Olympics held in Los Angeles. With the home crowd on her side, Retton didn’t disappoint and delivered her absolute best.

In fact, she ensured her victory with a move that has now become forbidden in gymnastics. Mary Lou Retton showcased a phenomenal routine on the unparallel bars, which was a unique creation of her own. The American gymnast’s routine was named after her and called ‘The Retton Flip.’
