All aboard the soul train! The 33rd season of Dancing With The Stars has been a spectacle to behold so far, and its next show is expected to keep the electricity flowing. Olympic medalist Stephen Nedoroscik has whipped up a storm at the show, and he is ready for his next challenge. Just a couple of days ago, Nedoroscik’s partner Rylee Arnold revealed how they’re both gearing up for hair metal night, and this time, the Penn State alum has found a new look to woo the fans once again.
Nedoroscik’s uncanny similarity with Superman, aka Clark Kent, is one of the favorite things to discuss among fans about the Olympian. However, his latest look is making people think about another fictional character whose popularity is now widespread thanks to the hit Netflix show Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
In her Instagram post from October 6, Arnold unveiled the messy-looking wig that her 25-year-old DWTS partner will sport for the upcoming Soul Train Night. As the Nedoroscik-Arnold team perfects its quickstep for tomorrow’s performance, she also urged fans to vote for them. However, while she shared several images from their practice session, it was the ex-Nittany Lion’s hairdo that grabbed all the attention of the fans.

If you thought Stephen’s Hair Metal Night getup was quirky, the preparations for tomorrow’s show are all the more hilarious, especially with the Olympian ditching elaborate makeup to opt for a more nerdy look. While the fans were sent into a frenzy after checking out the Olympian’s KISS-inspired fashion, his latest has only made them beam more broadly than before.

For one fan, the gymnast’s look is making them remember a young Jake Peralta, the awkward but efficient detective we have come to love. “Stephen is kind of giving 2000s era Andy Samberg in the best way,” Meg joked in the comment section of Arnold’s post and now we can’t unsee it either! Soon, others joined in on the fun to note their amusement at Nedoroscik’s latest wardrobe choice.
Stephen Nedoroscik tickles the fans’ funny bones again
Actor Matt Bennett’s famous character Robbie Shapiro from the teen sitcom Victorious seems to be another name that the fans believe has a high similarity with Stephen’s Soul Train Night styling. Seeing the 2024 Olympic bronze medalist’s hair, Shayna let out a candid grunt, “okayyyyy robbie shapiro.” Her sneer was backed up by Rissa, who wrote, “Wait he’s kind of giving Robbie from victorious.” Emma was also flabbergasted by the similarity and blurted out, “Yo thats Robbie Shapiro!”
Jazmin, on the other hand, thinks Stranger Things’ Dustin would be a better choice to define Stephen Nedoroscik’s looks. “Stephen is giving Dustin from Stranger Things,” commented this fan. While Dustin and the gymnastics sensation are aged very differently, we do see why Jazmin gets the idea!

However, one fan thinks all these fictional characters can stay in the backseat. For Benni, it will be Stephen’s old self who is the only eligible person to ride shotgun. “Reminds me of Stephen’s old hair before fame!” they cleared the air about who the Penn State student really looked like.

But all that discussion about his looks couldn’t keep some fans from noting how incredible Stephen Nedoroscik’s Dancing With The Stars stint is shaping up to be. While the gymnast was part of the historic team that brought the USA its first Olympics medal in men’s gymnastics after 16 years, these fans seem to be falling in love with him all over again just by seeing his dancing skills. “THE HEIGHT ON HIS KICK?!??!!??!??!???” Marlena is left bamboozled as to why more people aren’t talking about it, but she needn’t worry. Another fan also affirmed her words by commenting, “I feel like Stephen was born for the quickstep.” Would you agree?
