Stephen Nedoroscik's selfless act—Is this the kind of sportsmanship we need more of in America?

If you enjoyed watching ‘Pommel Horse Guy’ perform on the gymnastics mat, then you’ll love this one! Stephen Nedoroscik is about to make his much-awaited debut on Dancing with the Stars on September 17! He announced the exciting news first on Good Morning America and then posted a picture with Rylee Arnold, his dance partner, on Instagram. But as he prepares to take this massive leap, the 25-year-old receives a wholesome surprise.

On Saturday, September 7, Arnold and the Olympian were in the rehearsal studio, preparing for their first performance on the dance floor. However, some of his teammates and other gymnasts showed up to cheer him on. Fred Richard, Brody Malone, Ian Gunther, Asher Hong, Curran Phillips, and Yui Moldauer met up with ‘Team Arnold Pommel.’ Gunther shared a glimpse of their amusing session on his Instagram stories. The gymnast claimed a bronze medal in the team all-around finals alongside Malone and Richard.

The story captioned, “You’re going on Dancing with the Stars, don’t embarrass yourselves.” The gymnasts show off their skills on the dance floor. While Stephen Nedoroscik starts by showing Fred the ropes, chaos eventually ensues. However, this isn’t the only time the crew met up. Everyone went out for dinner after their fun practice session. The Olympian even shared a video of their time on his story, featuring everyone who made it. His caption radiates how excited he was: “WHOLE SQUAAAAD.” You can tell he missed his teammates.

When the Olympian and Rylee Arnold walked on the DWTS red carpet, the duo were asked what their dream theme night would be. Arnold confessed they would love to have an Ariana Grande theme night, and the 25-year-old enthusiastically agreed. Many were surprised when he mentioned how the pop star had a neon pink pommel horse during her 2016 VMA performance of “Side to Side.” But what he said next caught everyone’s attention.

Stephen Nedoroscik confessed, I literally DM’d her and asked if I could have it.” But she never responded to him. Many fans rallied behind him, asking the pop singer to lend him the iconic apparatus. They were also hoping that he would be able to showcase his skills on the dance floor. And the gymnast agrees. I want to bring some of that gymnastics—maybe a backflip or handstand. I want to have fun with it,” he told GMA.

Was Stephen Nedoroscik supposed to be a part of the Gold Over America Tour?

If you remember the gymnast’s name featured on the G.O.A.T. website, you’re not suffering from the Mandela effect. Initially, he was supposed to join Simone Biles, Brody Malone, Fred Richard, Jordan Chiles, and others on the tour. However, fans couldn’t find his name on the main team page later. The tour officially kicks off on September 16. But watching his friends spend quality time before they set off is endearing.

Stephen Nedoroscik also seemed to have missed his time with them in Paris. On August 20, he shared a few images and videos with the squad reminiscing about their stint. He captioned the post, In case you didn’t catch enough of the team’s personality on camera, here are some of my favorites 😂. I’ve been missing these guys, it’s crazy to think 3 weeks have already passed since team finals 🤯.” We can’t believe it’s been that long either! The sneak peek from the practice session looked incredibly fun. Are you excited to watch the Olympian make his debut on the dance floor?
