Can Simone Biles' new floor routine silence her critics after the US Gymnastics Trials setback?

Simone Rose might have missed the Paris Olympics, but she is not losing her focus a bit. At just 16 years of age, Rose has been one of the emerging names in the US gymnastics fraternity. She has enjoyed significant success in major competitions like the Winter Cup, the Hopes Classics, and more. Competing in the 2022 Winter Cup, Rose finished 5th and followed it with a 3rd position finish in the following US Classics.

Sadly, her 2024 so far has not gone according to plan. She ranked 7th in the Winter Cup and also could not do well in the Core Hydration Classics and Xfinity US Gymnastics Championships. But even after failing to meet expectations this year, Simone Rose has dropped an update about her brand-new floor routine.

Simone Rose recently posted a glimpse of her floor routine from the Olympic trials. Rose pointed out in the caption that she will be missing her old floor routine. Her caption read, “Going to miss this routine 🥹 But soon…new floor 🔜 👀” And with that, Rose also announced a brand new floor routine coming soon.

She also added the photo to her Instagram story and wrote “Love my floor routine”. This is significant for Rose as she is eyeing an Olympic berth in the LA 2028 edition of the games. Meanwhile, Simone Rose was heavily backed by fans to make it to the Paris Olympics. But she could not do justice, as Rose garnered 105.2 in the all-around category to finish in tenth place.

Even though the numbers might not look very impressive, the gap between Rose and second-placed Suni Lee was approximately 6 points. Thus, with the addition of the new floor routine mentioned, Simone Rose might as well ignite her LA dreams right away. Interestingly, that’s what Rose is manifesting too.

Simone Rose spoke to Olympics.com back in April. Looking back at her journey so far, Rose seemed quite jubilant to make it to the national team. She said, Last year was really exciting and happy for me. One of my main goals was to make the national team, especially because the year before I couldn’t do the all-around because of an injury. I was just really trying to go out there and just prove to myself that I am capable.”
