It’s time to pass on the baton! On one hand, Simone Biles & Co. are displaying their gymnastic excellence as part of the Gold Over America Tour, and on the other, there are new additions being made to the collegiate teams. Yes, an exciting verbal commitment just dropped and it has the gymnastics community thrilled to their core!

Dulcy Caylor, a 4x USA National Team member who trains at the World Champions Centre with Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles has just joined the Florida Gators. Taking to her Instagram, Caylor wrote that she’ll be onboarding the side on a “full athletic scholarship.” Notably, Caylor had just been there a day before for her first official visit.

While she is excited to pursue her academic, gymnastics, and elite goals with the Gators, she thanks those who helped her in the recruitment process. As well as showed great optimism for her future here, “I am so incredibly grateful for what the future holds,” she wrote in her caption.

Well, Dulcy’s announcement garnered some welcoming reactions from her fellow gymnasts. While Jade Carey is currently performing with Simone Biles and team on the GOAT tour, she ensured to wish the new joineee, as she commented on her post, “congratulations dulcy!!” Also, now a fellow Gator on the 2025 gymnastics roster, Kayla  DiCello gave Caylor a heartwarming shoutout, “my gator baby!! welcome to the family! we love you🐊💙” 

Notably, the 16-year-old Dulcy Caylor was named to join the U.S. women’s gymnastics national’s team earlier this year. Not just that, she finished fifth all-around at the 2024 Winter Cup. And made her senior international debut this year at the DTB Pokal Team Challenge and Mixed Cup, Germany.

Thus, the newly added Gator is no amateur or newcomer to the sport. In fact, she has previously shown great potential! This is why fans and co-gymnasts had an overwhelming response, when they heard of the class of 2026 gymnast joining the side.

Another Florida Gator joined the bandwagon with her wishes. Skye Blakely wrote on Caylor’s post, “so proud of you,” and teamed it up with “SO READY!!!🐊💙,” exhibiting great enthusiasm. Well, recently, when Caylor visited Florida, Skye Blakely was one of the hosts who showed her around, along with Kayla Dicello.

Notably, training with the G.O.A.T Simone Biles seems to have refined Dulcy well for the international circuit. She has no dearth of examples to learn from. Dulcy once mentioned who she knows she’ll never be on Simone’s level, buy she does not want to seem far behind either. Thus, when Biles gives her pointers, she never misses on taking note of it.

Leanne Wong was another Florida home girl who turned up to welcome Dulcy to the side. She wrote, “YAYYYYY DULCY!!!!GO GATORRRSS!🧡💙” Well, who would not be happy to welcome Dulcy to their side? The budding gymnast already has great international successes!

When she competed at the 2022 Pan American Championships as a junior, she ended 2nd all-around, and lifted the title as a team. The same form showed through in Germany, where team USA bagged the DTB Pokal Mixed Cup. And at the Jesolo Trophy 2024, where she was part of the USA squad that bagged bronze. Thus, a fan commented, “Yessss!! As a FL fan, can’t wait to watch you in the O’Dome! Congratulations.”

Dulcy started gymnastics when she was 6 and moved to Houston from North Carolina to train with the pros. That sure is helping as she already has lofty plans not only for the LA Games 2028, but also  2032. And ever since she us training with Cecile and Laurent Landi, Simone Biles’ star coaches, she has worked on her upgrades, rather than what she calls, ‘mindless turns.’
