Away from the usual gymnastics world, Simone Biles is slowly making inroads in the entrepreneurial world. If her Gold Over America Tour (GOAT) stands a firm approach to presenting herself as the producer, there is another one waiting in the corner, unrelated to gymnastics. Rather, it bridges two of her biggest preferences—her hometown and her knack for gastronomical affairs.
The ardent fans of the 11-time Olympic medalist know about her ritual of savoring a pizza after her big contest on the mat. Now picture yourself in a restaurant where Simone’s cutouts adorn the walls, savoring a slice of the same flavor pizza while you peruse the menu. How would it go? Well, her fans will not have to wait any longer to get this chance, as Biles is planning to enter the restaurant business and here, as well, a tinge of gold will be present.
Simone Biles has already begun to implement her strategy to make all the aforementioned things a reality. The first major step toward it came when she inked a deal with The Playmakers Group. Notably, the group is well-versed in forming athlete-themed restaurants in airports. The restaurant at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is the most notable illustration of its creativity. Furthermore, the name connected to this restaurant is Dirk Nowitzki, the Dallas Mavericks maestro. Hailing from Houston, Simone has the same wish—to open the restaurant in her nativity.

As of now, the blueprint is almost ready, and the credit goes to The Playmakers Group. The concerned team has already finalized the exact location for the proposed restaurant. Is that not enough to make her fans ask for the address of the place? The Olympian threw a hint regarding it in her thankful note for The Playmakers Group.
In a statement, Biles said, “I am very excited to partner with The Playmakers Group and their dedicated team to help bring a new restaurant to my hometown airport.” The further update reveals that Taste of Gold, the proposed restaurant, might open near gate A8 of George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. Now the question is what about the date of opening?

According to the news statement, the work has already progressed to multiple lengths. As a part of it, The Playmakers Group has taken care of the curation of the menu and to act on it, the group has recruited the best among the best.
The prominent restaurateur, Mark Brezinski, is at the helm to curate the menu. He has the fame of being the brain behind Pei Wei, Banh Shop, and Velvet Taco. So is there another monument coming out of his hands in the shape of Taste of Gold? We will have to wait till the first quarter of 2025 to know about that. But the overall program depicts Simone Biles’s love for the food. It has always been a finger-licking affair.

You’d think a gymnast worth $16 million, like Simone Biles, would love fancy stuff like caviar and oysters. But actually, the 27-year-old is completely different. She idolizes pizza. Nothing comes closer to this Italian-origin food in the matter of pleasing Biles’s taste buds. And if it is pepperoni-topped pizza, the Olympian can go outbound to have it. But does she indulge herself in overloving it? No, actually never. She keeps tabs on her daily consumption of calories and she has been regularly active on the gymnastics mat recently, a healthy dish has become her essential need. Back in 2020, just before her Olympic preparation, the most decorated gymnast laid out, “I eat what I feel good with and try not to overeat or stuff myself because I’m always at the gym.” So she would stick to her staple food during her preparation time. But while she goes into a celebratory mood or she is on an outing, Simone Biles prefers to try out new restaurants. Remember her glee when her husband Jonathan Owens shifted to the Chicago Bears? She was all set to try out the local cuisine of Chicago. Therefore, for Biles, cherishing the food has been a special part of her life. Now, fans can finally get a taste of her favorite menu items at her place.
