Remember when Simone Biles showed up to a Packers game wearing an outfit with words “OWENS” in front? Well, it’s about time her husband, Jonathan Owens returned the favor. After her success in the Core Hydration Classic, Biles is now targeting a repeat at the Xfinity US Gymnastics Championships. While she stays focused on her Paris mission, she had her family and friends going all out in their support.

Biles took the lead on Day 1 of the US Championships in the all around category. Displaying her usual aura, Simone Biles breached the mark of 60 and closed down with a staggering 60.450 in her kitty. And cheering her on were Jonathan Owens, sister Adria, and her friends Kayla Simone and Rachel Roettger, who were in attendance. 

In her Instagram stories Biles shared photos and videos of her loved ones from the event. They were spotted wearing a custom Biles T-shirt which had a collage of her pictures and the words “SIMONE” written above them. All of them were keeping a keen eye as Biles made history on day 1 in Texas.

She has been training hard under the strict guidance of her coach, Cecile Landi. In order to try something different, Biles also roped in the Frenchman, Greguito Milan as her choreographer. And surely, the results are showing! At the US Championships, she scored an all-around total of 60.450, which was the highest across every other competitor. In process, she also became the only female athlete in the world to go 60+ in the all-around. This comes after she clinched the all-around gold at Core Hydration Classic all-around nearly two weeks ago.

Talking about gifts, JO is quite extravagant when it comes to treating his dear wife. Ahead of Valentines day this year, the endearing husband gifted Biles a Gucci bag to elevate her mood. She posted a picture of the bag on her IG, captioning, “I have been crying all day… So he surprised me. He’s the best @jowens.” 

Digging into the history, let’s not forget the time JO showered Simone with bouquets and heart-shaped balloons along with a tag that read “My Heart,” last year after her stunning performance at the Core Hydration 2023. Biles again posted the picture of three extravagant bouquets and the balloons with “Came home to this.”

While Simone getting a ‘SIMONE’ t-shirt was a heartwarming gesture, Biles has also showed her support for her husband in the past.

Simone Biles is well known for publicly showing her support for Jonathan Owens. Back in 2023, when Owens was with the Green Bay Packers, Biles turned up in person throughout the season to cheer for the Packers. In November, she showed up for a Packers game wearing a long-sleeve graphic tee with several pics of Owens on the front with the OWENS written at the top.

Moreover, earlier this year at the Packers vs Cowboys game, she wore a customized black leather jacket that featured Owens’ No. 34 on the back in sparkling green and gold. Words “Mrs. Owens” were stitched into the back of the jacket. Biles showing up for his husband’s football games has been a common sight and Owens has been keen to reciprocate as witnessed by the recent gesture.

With Biles having a strong and positive support system behind her, she will look to bounce back from the hurt of Tokyo and add to her legacy with gold in Paris.
