Simone Biles vs. Donald Trump—Who's in the right here? Let's hear your thoughts!

Former President of the United States Donald Trump is back in the spotlight, as usual, for his controversial comments. Most recently, he made headlines, or we could say Trump is being trolled for his statements. For instance, “shark attacks that are caused by electric boat batteries that sink in the ocean and electrocute people unless they swim away from the battery, toward the shark.” As many netizens are wishing, “I think President Trump needs to stay focused on his policy.” One more added, “Keep the debate focused on policy.”

At the same time, Trump is also now the new favorite in the presidential election betting odds against Kamala Harris. After trailing behind the Democratic nominee, Trump has reclaimed the top spot for the first time since mid-August, despite people still calling him out for his past and present statements. What makes this even more interesting is that just last month, right after winning the Paris Golds, Simone Biles seemed to throw some shade regarding her ethnicity and job after Trump released an unseemly comment. Yes, you read it right!

Now, it looks like their names are popping up together again, creating a buzz that mixes politics with sports in a way only Trump could pull off! On “Late Night with Seth Meyers” this Monday, Meyers spotlighted a recurring scenario: Donald Trump makes an offensive remark, and then Republicans scrambled on TV to urge him to concentrate on policy. However, Meyers humorously pointed out that there’s “no way” these Republicans “actually believe” in their own pleas, adding a sharp twist to the ongoing drama.

Meyers made fun of him, saying, “He still can’t take me to vaudeville for our two-man comedy routine. I’ll sit in his lap, dressed like a ventriloquist dummy, and say things like, ‘Hey, Donald, stick to the issues.'”

Then he responded, “Shut up, dummy, and don’t forget, you need me more than I need you. And if you don’t get in line, you’ll be out on your ass without a pot to piss in.” And the audience—well, they just laugh and laugh. The host is expressing skepticism about the belief that Donald Trump can effectively focus on policy.

They’re making a comparison to highlight how unrealistic this expectation is by suggesting that Trump would find it easier to perform a complex gymnastics routine—like one of Simone Biles’ moves—than to concentrate on policy issues. In their words, “Donald Trump can’t focus on policy. He’d have an easier time doing one of Simone Biles’ signature moves.”

Meyers then playfully shifted the focus to Trump attempting to replicate Biles’ impressive gymnastics routines, using AI-generated images and humorous commentary to highlight his limited success. While this lighthearted segment showcased Trump’s struggle with Biles’ moves, however, it seems Biles is an avid supporter of Kamala Harris.

The truth behind Simone Biles’ alleged $4 million donation

Back in August, Simone Biles was at the center of social media speculation about a supposed $4 million donation to Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s presidential campaign. Rumors swirled online, particularly on X and TikTok, suggesting that the Olympic gymnast intended to make this significant contribution as a nod to her four medals won at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Despite the buzz, there’s no verifiable evidence supporting this claim. Posts circulating on social media lacked credible sources, with no links to reputable articles like those from Sports Illustrated. Moreover, the $4 million donation would exceed the individual contribution limit of $3,300 for federal elections, making a direct donation from Biles unlikely. Given her estimated net worth of $16 to $17 million, a substantial donation might be well within her means, yet the rumors remain unconfirmed. As the saying goes, “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire,” but in this case, the smoke appears to be just that—smoke without a solid foundation.
