Simone Biles has several shades to her. While many consider her to be the undisputed GOAT of gymnastics, Biles is also an advocate for mental wellness. She changed the narrative around modern-day gymnastics. As it was Biles who initially made it clear that one’s physical and mental well-being ranks high above the sport. Treading away from gymnastics, Biles tried her luck in dancing as she participated in Dancing With The Stars. After getting committed to Jonathan Owens, Biles has also been an active presence at the NFL games. 

With her Gold Over America Tour now over, Biles has already hinted at spending more time with her NFL husband. Thus, it is no surprise that when the Bears will be taking on the New England Patriots on Sunday, Biles might be present, donning the Bears’ colors. Now, the narrative till now seems quite unsurprising. But there was a time when Simone Biles supported the Patriots. Well, to be more specific, she extended her love towards the cheerleading team of the New England Patriots. 

In a resurfaced video from 7 years back, Biles was seen sharing some training advice with the cheerleaders. Making the Patriots’ cheerleading team learn her famous shimmy from her Olympic-winning routine, the GOAT looked quite elated. In the video uploaded by Inside Edition on YouTube, Biles stated, “I really wanted to be an NFL cheerleader.” To this, one of the cheerleaders said, “You’re in. You’re an automatic cheerleader.”

While it might have been a pleasant exchange, on Sunday, Biles will be cheering against the Patriots. With Jonathan Owens impressing in his debut season with Chicago, Biles will surely want the Bears to extend their win column by one more game. As a matter of fact, the two teams have had almost identical luck this season. The Patriots are languishing at the bottom of the AFC East with 7 losses and 2 wins. On the contrary, the Bears have looked just a tad bit better. Playing in the NFC North, Jonathan Owens and his team have a 4-4 win-loss record. Thus, both teams would definitely want things to change for the good. Meanwhile, this was not the only time Biles had a tryst with NFL cheerleading. 

Simone Biles has been a Houston Texans cheerleader 

Simone Biles might be cheering for the Bears, but in her heart, she is a diehard Houston Texans fan. After all, who would not want to support their own home team? Thus, as a token of respect, Biles was honored by the Houston Texans a few years back. Back on September 10, 2017, Biles became the first-ever honorary cheerleader for the Houston Texans. 

She was given the opportunity to don the iconic red boots of the Texans cheerleading team. The boots were specially customized for the gymnastics GOAT, further elevating the credibility of the honor. Performing at the NRG stadium, Biles made her debut as a cheerleader at the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Houston Texans. 

While Biles always wanted to be an NFL cheerleader, she was given an exclusive locker along with the cheerleading team. Thus, achieving much more than just gymnastics accolades, Simone Biles truly remains an inspiration in the vast realm of the sporting world.
