Simone Biles: GOAT status confirmed! Do you think she's the greatest gymnast of all time?

Simone Biles got an amusing surprise from Jimmy Fallon! Fresh off her jaw-dropping performance at the Paris Olympics, where she snagged four Olympic medals—three of them gold—Biles is in seventh heaven. After her dismal performance in Tokyo, many wrote Biles off as ‘finished’. But rising like a phoenix from the ashes, the 27-year-old responded with 4 Olympic medals, including 3 gold medals in this edition. While Biles helped Team USA restore their position as the best female gymnastics team in the world, Biles won 3 more individual Olympic medals, cementing her status as the GOAT of gymnastics, and she’s got plenty to celebrate.

So, naturally, the invitations are rolling in. One of them? A spot on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Simone gave fans a sneak peek of her appearance on Instagram, but it wasn’t just her Olympic glow that caught people’s attention—it was a surprise guest. During their chat, out of nowhere, a real goat casually strolled by! As if that wasn’t enough, her GOAT necklace literally sparkled at the same moment. Leave it to Fallon to pull off such a perfectly timed prank. Biles’ reaction? Priceless!

For years, Simone Biles has been dominating the world of gymnastics with a level of consistency, longevity, and record-smashing boundary-pushing that no one else can touch. She’s not only the most decorated gymnast at the world championships, but no American gymnast—male or female—has more Olympic hardware than her. And she’s embraced her GOAT title.

Since her epic comeback in 2023, Biles has flaunted it with style. Remember the leotard with the rhinestone-outlined goat head? Not once, but twice, she strutted it out during competitions. She even brought a plushie goat along to the Paris Olympics, sitting proudly by her bedside in the village. Because why not?

But Simone Biles really outdid herself after taking center stage in Paris. After clinching yet another all-around gold at the 2024 Olympics, she debuted a sparkling 3D goat necklace that had fans buzzing. The piece, crafted by Janet Heller Fine Jewelry, wasn’t just any necklace—this beauty boasts 546 diamonds. And yep, the goat pendant was an obvious nod to her being dubbed the Greatest of All Time.

Speaking of her glittering accessory, Simone Biles said, “My goat necklace is just kind of an ode because the people love it and then some people hate it, so it’s like the best of both worlds. And I was like, okay, if it goes well, I’ll wear the goat necklace, I know people will go crazy over it,” she shared during a post-competition press conference. “But at the end of the day, it is crazy that I’m in the conversation of greatest of all time athletes, because I still think I’m Simone Biles from Spring, Texas, that loves to flip.” Classic Biles—humble, even with a diamond-encrusted GOAT around her neck.

It’s no wonder Jimmy Fallon picked up on the vibe, throwing in his own cheeky nod with the actual goat strolling through their chat. Biles, of course, was all smiles. After overcoming her battle with the ‘twisties’ and being sidelined for over a year, she’s back stronger than ever, proving that gymnastics may be a young person’s game, but Simone Biles is still playing—and winning. As of now, the event has been scheduled for San Jose, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Oceanside. with more dates and venues expected to be announced soon. This certainly rules out the rumors of Simone Biles hanging up her leotard anytime soon. Rumors of her retirement were murmured around the entire gymnastics community as Biles expressed her excitement about embracing motherhood. She also mentioned in an interview with Hoda Kotb that Jonathan Owens too, was equally invested in the idea of stepping into parenthood.

However, in the same interview, Biles also gave a hint that she just might hang around till the Los Angeles 2028 games. She said,Never say never… Next Olympics are at home. So you just never know. I am getting really old.” Thus, with a lot going on in Simone Biles’ life at the moment, the possibility of retirement seems quite far-fetched.
