Simone Biles may shine brighter than anyone on the mat, but let’s not forget she’s a champion off it too, balancing her wife duties with grace. While she dazzles on her Gold Over America Tour, which wraps up in just a week, her husband, NFL star Jonathan Owens, is out there battling it out for the Chicago Bears. But even with her busy schedule, Biles hasn’t let her role as a devoted wife slip away! Just last month, when her tour touched down in Chicago, she shared her excitement: “Next week, we’re actually in Chicago, and they play the same day that we perform at 12.”
With plans to cheer on Jonathan during his game, she exclaimed, “I’m going to go to the game; I’m going to see them, and then they’ll come to the show in the afternoon.” Her enthusiasm radiated as she added, “I am really excited!” But now as the tour’s finale approaches, it looks like she’ll have to miss some of her husband’s games.
Simone Biles won’t make it to the NFL game?
In a recent chat with Click on Detroit, a reporter asked, “Could Simone be taking another stop to Detroit for the Lions Bears matchup on November 28th to root for her hubby who plays for the Bears?” Always honest, Simone replied, “We’ll have to see since it is Thanksgiving. Usually some of the wives we stay home because they get on a flight right after that game.”
This really highlights the juggling act NFL wives often face. She added, “We’re (NFL wives) usually back home waiting for them because if not, we don’t know when we’ll be able to get home and spend that holiday with them” While the idea of cheering for her husband is super tempting, Simone knows that family time during the holidays is what really matters.
Jonathan Owens is gearing up to take on the Lions in Detroit on November 28, and while Simone Biles may not be in the stands cheering him on, you can bet she’ll be supporting her husband from afar. She’s done it before, after all!

Meanwhile, Simone was cheering him on from afar, sending her love and support across the miles.
Jonathan celebrated the Bears’ exciting first win of the season on Instagram, showcasing his interception return for a touchdown with an excited caption: “Starting the season off with a bang‼️ BEARS WIN 🔥 #36for6.” And even though Simone couldn’t make it to the game, she was right there in spirit, jumping into the comments to show her love, saying, “my mans my mans my mans,” followed by a pumped-up “LET’S FKKKNNNNN GO BABY💋💋💋.” Talk about spreading the love, even from far away!
