Simone Biles is getting some strong support at the US Olympic trials. Although Biles has looked in ominous form this year, her ticket to Paris is not yet confirmed. Thus, Biles would surely look to continue the good form, get to Paris, and reclaim her lost glory. And while she is razor-focused on her goal, the US gymnastics queen’s chances are being bolstered by the support of her family.

As the US trials got underway, Biles’ family was spotted cheering from the stands. But the spotlight was taken by Biles’ baby niece, who is just 1-year-old. She was dressed like her aunt and was seen rooting the loudest. Biles’ family even bought huge cutouts of the 27-year-old’s face to help her fire up even more.

Surely, all the support did really help Biles find her groove it seems. Looking flawless in her movements, the Rio Olympics all-around champion executed a Yurchenko double pike to perfection. For the uninitiated, this particular routine is one of the hardest in women’s gymnastics at the moment.

As a result, Biles finished with 15.975 points, which was the highest of the evening. Biles then went on to perform a Cheng, her second vault of the night to strengthen her cause for Paris qualification. Well, it’s not just her family who is supporting her. Simone Biles’ coach, Cecile Landi, is also heaping praise on her champion athlete.

Cecile Landi feels Simone Biles will be “unstoppable” in Paris

Cecile Landi and Simone Biles have been one of the most celebrated duos in the sports world. Landi’s careful guidance and strategic planning saw Biles conquer the world. Landi also helped Biles significantly after the Tokyo Olympics to find her footing when times were dark. And now, with the glitz and glamor of Paris in sight, Landi is confident about Simone Biles’ qualifications. Speaking about Biles, Cecile Landi commented, She’s the most talented athlete I’ve ever worked with and so we just knew if she could get her mental game as well as her physical game, then she would be close to unstoppable.”

Landi then went on to further acknowledge how Biles balances her personal life with her professional career. She said, “All the work she’s been doing outside the gym and just being 27, married, she has other stuff going on and I think it helps her keep a good balance, it’s not only about gymnastics, and I think that keeps her sane.” Thus, with support coming from everyone, it is now time for Simone Biles to rise and shine, confirming her Paris berth at the first chance she gets.
