After a brilliant Paris Olympics campaign, Simone Biles is on a journey to inspire the new generation with the Gold Over America tour. As a passion project, this is the second edition of the tour, featuring a wide array of gymnasts. Alongside Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezly Riviera, male gymnasts have joined the lineup this time. While they weren’t part of the previous edition, gymnasts like Brody Malone, Fred Richard, and Yul Moldauer are now on board. However, one notable absence from the list is Stephen Nedoroscik.
The gymnast is competing in this year’s Dancing with the Stars instead. He made his debut on September 17th and mesmerized the audience. Just a few hours before his performance, Simone Biles, who was in Oceanside for the first Gold Over America tour appearance, was asked about Stephen. Having competed in Dancing with the Stars herself, she might have some wisdom to share. Naturally, the interviewer asked if she had any advice for him.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight during the Gold Over America tour, Simone Biles was asked whether she had any advice for Stephen Nedoroscik about his Dancing with the Stars appearance being a veteran. She said that the Olympic bronze medalist should “just have fun.”. This advice will help him a lot because the competition in the show is really difficult, according to Simone. She said, “It’s hard. Like dancing with the stars was so hard, it’s long hours. I feel like it’s almost harder than the gymnastics that we do. But we’re so out of our element.” Whether he heard her advice or not, Stephen Nedoroscik’s first performance was really successful as the pair danced to Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ and scored 21 on the scorecard. This was the joint third highest score in the first episode. Thus, the gymnast and his partner were both off to a great start.
The interviewer then asked Simone Biles whether she had any conversation with him before his appearance. She said that while she hasn’t talked with him, some of the people participating in the tour did go to see him while he was rehearsing. “They said he’s doing really well.” She is referring to gymnasts like Brody Malone and Fred Richards who went to meet Stephen before his debut on the reality TV show. Like them, Stephen also had the choice to perform on the Gold Over America tour but chose DWTS instead.

Simone Biles also praised his dance partner, Rylee Arnold. She said, “He has such a great partner. I mean, she’s so cute. Yeah, I love Riley, I love the whole family so I’m really excited.” Rylee Arnold’s sisters Lindsay Arnold and Brynley Arnold are also dancers. In fact, Lindsay used to be a choreographer on Dancing with the Stars. She finished second alongside baseball player David Ross during the season where Simone Biles performed. Thus, she knows the family.

Did Simone Biles' advice turn Stephen Nedoroscik into the dark horse of 'Dancing with the Stars'?
Have an interesting take?
Simone Biles appeared on Dancing with the Stars in its 24th season in 2017. By that time, she was already a five time Olympic gold medalist, which included four gold medals. Clearly, she always had natural talent in the sport of gymnastics. However, that did not seem to be the case with dancing, as the show was not a smooth sailing ship for her. While she, along with her partner Sasha Farber, became a fan favorite, the judges were a bit critical of her. This was because she did not smile enough while she used to perform. During the eighth week of the show, she blatantly told the host of the show, Tom Bergeron, “Smiling doesn’t win you gold medals.”
But she was struggling quite a bit as she later opened up to Entertainment Tonight. There, she said the show was taking a huge emotional toll on her, and she almost let it out during the eighth week. “I had tears in my eyes. I almost ran to the bathroom at one point, but I pulled it together.” Eventually, Simone Biles and Tom Bergeron went a long way, finishing fourth in the competition. When she was finally eliminated, numerous contestants were surprised, as they thought she had done enough to stay in the competition. But, now the whole campaign is behind her. Since then, she has added six more Olympic medals to her tally and is considered one of the greatest of all time. The Dancing with the Stars journey will only be remembered as a side note in her huge journey.
