The NCAA gymnastics season is yet to come to center stage. However, a loss would haunt the signature contest this year. According to an update from the Whitewater Police Department, a 21-year-old gymnast from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater was shot dead on Friday in her apartment. The police have already made several important advances in the case and arrested one. But the loss has dealt a heavy blow to the gymnastics fraternity.

As per the revelation, the deceased gymnast Kara Welsh used to reside in the old Wisconsin Dairy Supply Co. building. Her simple living offered no indication of her engaging in any type of crime or brawl, which evoked additional grief among the gymnastics community. However, The Whitewater Police Department has alleged that the murder happened after an altercation between Kara Welsh and the arrested individual. So did such a small thing lead to the heinous crime?

Kara’s added energy on the mat and camps had made her a favorite to all. So, how could such a soul come under the rage of someone that the gymnast had to pay the price of with her life? This question would haunt the community for long. Meanwhile, the sad note is filling the vacancy the death has left behind.
